This position will manage cross-functional organization and communication of all aspects of Warehouse network changes and optimization plans including Distribution Network of the Future, specialized network optimization, and specialized outbound Customer strategies in support of all Tyson Business Units.
Responsibilities include: organizing cross-functional communication and deliverables of key transition milestones, evaluate specific warehouse and transportation network design to synchronize with the overall supply chain design; own and maintain supply chain modeling details to determinate optimal timeline and communication strategies for the company; execute regular and ad hoc analysis; analyze optimal structures and sizing for warehouse transition details.
Other responsibilities include: execute efforts associated with internal and external bench marking of the Tyson logistical network design and operational performance, make recommendations regarding optimized network strategy, lead internal communication and data repositories for key transitional timelines, validate cross-functional readiness against key timeline deliverables, and host key stakeholder discussion updates through all optimized transitions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide input and make recommendations for logistics and network strategy for whole organization
Prepare logistics network change details and organizational communication strategies
Data compiling and validation for network strategy
Data validation and distribution of data related to the current and future distribution network
Presentations about optimization models and data analysis
Ad hoc distribution analysis related to transportation and warehousing
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelors degree in an academic field directly related and essential to the position
Experience: 5 years plus
Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills; working knowledge of customized operations modeling and optimization tools. Excellent working knowledge of MS products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; presentation skills.
Special Skills: Requires specific knowledge of logistics and overall supply chain operations including the inter-dependencies of each of the functions; strong analytical skills.
Supervisory: None
Travel: 1-6 domestic trips per year
