DISTRIBUTION CENTER ASSOCIATE (WAREHOUSE WORKER)

 

J. CREW IS HIRING TEMPORARY FULL-TIME ROLES ON 1ST SHIFT THROUGH A LOCAL STAFFING AGENCY. THESE POSITIONS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE HIRED ON DIRECTLY WITH J. CREW BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS AND PERFORMANCE/ATTENDANCE.

 

PAY RATE: $13.00PER HOUR

 

DESCRIPTION:

*Picks/packs, inspects, ships merchandise to customers *Accurately performs data entry via PC/RF *Achieves production (UPH) standards in all areas *Achieves quality (IQA) standards in all areas *Works with team members in support of process improvements and cost reductions *Understands team objectives within assigned work area *Applies basic skills and procedural knowledge within assigned work area *Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor *Must be able to assist in any area of merchandise processing during busy period *Must be able to:

*Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop for up to 10 hours at a time *Climb stairs *Stand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuously *Work around moving machinery/equipment (i.e. a sorter) *Adjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur in warehouse *Perform frequent/reoccurring movement (folding, hanging clothing, packing, closing, ticketing, wrapping, etc.) *Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day; weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessary *Work comfortably on open platform/loft areas that are elevated to a second or third story level

QUALIFICATIONS:

*Must be at least 18 years old *Basic math skills *Good hand/eye coordination *Ability to work independently or in team as assigned *Quality conscious and detail oriented *Understand and follow verbal or written instructions *Some positions require the ability to use and read measuring tools, ex. tape measure *Flexibility - may be required to work in other areas, overtime or extended hours
