As a Supply professional for Lockheed Martin, you manage the entire logistics chain of spare and repair parts flowing to and from our customers. You team with and make collaborative decisions with suppliers, repair facilities, warehousing, and customers. You make and execute decisions for inventory, priority interpretation, inventory allocation and asset redistribution as necessary among sources of supply and military operating locations. You support and advise proposal and contract writers, inventory optimization analysts, financial analysts, engineers, and procurement buyers. You will learn and use tools such as SAP, GOLD, Excel analysis, EVMS tools, technical publications, engineering drawings, and configuration management tools and methods. Using trend data, interaction with procurement and repair locations, and proactive management of inventories, this role can impact schedules, enable logistics to properly flow, and support customer flight and maintenance operations.
In this highly visible role, you will be able to demonstrate your technical and business acumen through:
- Assuring inventory sufficiency throughout the life cycle of supported systems
- Capturing data and performing analysis to proactively shape logistical performance
- Solving supply chain and schedule issues
- Presenting analysis of data and logistical status to management and the customer
- Generating requirements for sourcing and repair of aircraft parts
- Performing to contractual, schedule, and financial requirements
- Providing Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAPS) support
- Analyzing and resolving customer-raised Supply Chain Management (SCM) sustainment issues
- Leading root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives
- Assisting with Import/Export shipments
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires controlled access.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a business-related field (other degrees with a business minor acceptable)
-One to two years experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Inventory management, Project Management, B2B Sales, or Customer Order Fullfillment/Shipping
-Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications
-Intermediate to advanced skills in writing and presenting ideas in team settings and to customers
Desired Skills:
-Experience with SAP or other MRP type software
-USAF Supply experience
-Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
-Experience working with military or industrial customers in sales, distribution, scheduling, routing, customer support sales or engineering
-Systems or other engineering type work that involves ability to read drawings, contracts, and requirements
