Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) will be an integral part of the on-going success of the operation. This position will be responsible for operationalizing and delivering on the overall ICQA strategy for the Distribution House. Including, but is not limited to, the completion of all receiving, put-away, planning and scheduling, shipping, returns, inventory, processing and the efficiency of the teammates and the development of the floor and team leaders present in the inbound or outbound area
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
•Strategically plans the daily operations workload for the area of responsibility.
•Assists the area manager’s team with the running of reports for inventory and labor management.
•Coaches and develops exempt direct reports.
•Creates and implements appropriate operating systems and audits to support the accuracy of sales order fulfillment.
•Creates and maintains required efficiency standards throughout all processes within distribution.
•Ensures that customer product is compliant according to compliance manuals.
•Works with the DH management team, in order to achieve the goals of the department.
•Provide FTZ consulting services to prospective and existing clients for both Managed Service and implementation clients.
•Manage and train a team of individuals to conduct the daily FTZ operations for managed services clients, software support, compliance review site visits, and administration.
•Oversee the daily FTZ Operation of all FTZ Managed Service clients.
•Prepare and submit periodic reports required of FTZs.
•Participate on periodic status calls with the FTZ project team, leading the calls when necessary.
•Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for daily FTZ operations.
•Ensures operations planning meets cost per unit and carton per hour goals.
•Supports and drives a safe work environment and culture throughout the DH.
•Ensures maximum inventory accuracy and efficiency to ensure shipping dates are achieved.
Monitors/Maintains operations balance throughout the DH.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cont.
•Strategize to continuously improve warehouse operations.
•Work closely with our sales team to ensure product is visible for allocation.
•Assist with scheduling of MHE (Material Handling Equipment) training classes.
•Provides critical business updates to all departments to ensure successful operations.
•Work closely with managers and supervisors pertaining to day to day responsibilities.
•Develop and maintain robust reporting.
•Responsible for achieving optimum labor, and least amount of overhead and material costs in the Distribution operation.
•Works with functional area and production planning departments to attain maximum efficiency with regards to receipt of product.
•Ensures inventory and shipping/receiving functions at distribution plant are operating at levels which meet customers' needs and established financial benchmarks.
•Formulates and recommends distribution policies and programs which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
•Works with each department to manage labor throughout the DH.
Ensures standards for shipping quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.
•Ensures fixed assets are preserved. Initiates recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to distribution property.
•Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost and labor over run and makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related to same.
•Builds and maintains effective relationships with business partners outside of the DH.
•Advises distribution managers on labor issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances and the like. Ensures plant managers and supervises are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner.
•Manages budget and controls expenses, effectively.
•Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
•Becomes a master user of the Lilly ERP system to quickly and accurately create operational reports and pull together data necessary to evaluate trends in the company business.
•Effectively lead production meetings with multiple departments and levels of leadership
•Communicate policy changes and new programs to the entire Distribution department.

Education And / Or Experience
•Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of related experience in a distribution or warehouse environment; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
•Experience in the apparel industry strongly preferred.
•At least 3 years of experience in supervising others.
•Highly skilled with database/spreadsheet programs, and specifically MS Office programs (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
•Experience with WMi and SAP strongly preferred.
•Experience with MRP software package is required.
Other Requirements
•Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Distribution House in Rialto, CA / Baltimore, MD / Nashville, TN (edit based on hiring location).
•Return To Work Designation: Fully in office
•Travel: Ability to travel as may be required (approximately 20%).
