POSITION PROFILE
This position, reporting to the Manager, Transportation is responsible for supporting the daily operations of transportation, planning, delivery, and special projects. This position will require a deep understanding of logistics operations and transportation, and will provide support to logistics, load planning, transportation management, and various internal Knoll sites and functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coordinate and manage inbound shipments and delivery schedules between suppliers and destinations, including scheduling, routing, tracking, documentation, issue resolution, and invoicing
Identify, plan, and administer the logistics requirements for all Specialized Customer programs
Coordinate shipping requirements for Specialized Customer programs with distribution centers, Knoll sites, suppliers, and carriers
Coordinate and support internal Knoll programs, including specific site requirements
Support Logistics and site load planning teams
Support Interplant planning, routing and shipping requirements
Provide Logistics support to internal teams
Review LTL planning to reduce costs and improve service
Provide premium freight quotes for Logistics, Customer resources and sites. Determine options and mode selection based on service and cost parameters
Support Delivery improvement programs and associated metrics
Assign transportation costs to appropriate budgets
Provide support for Logistics reporting and metrics
Support Logistics strategic vision for the future.

Required Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) is required

Required Experience
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience.
1-3 years Logistics/Transportation experience.
Experience with multiple modes and understanding of transportation pricing is a plus.
