Scope of the role
The Integrated Supply Planning process (ISP) is a robust, sustainable capability which connects to demand planning and market supply planning processes to drive efficient decision making in key governance groups such as Sales & Operations Planning forums.
As a member of the ISP Operations team, the ISP Process Manager will drive the ongoing deployment and execution of the Integrated Supply Planning process, a strategic Global Supply Planning capability, to be applied to all BMS products, markets, and sites, in conjunction with the Integrated Planning Team (IPT) Leaders and in collaboration with all IPT members. Support ISP alignment with stakeholders and business processes at an enterprise level including demand planning, manufacturing site operations, GO-Teams, Market Supply Planning, and Inventory Optimization.
Key responsibilities
Facilitate the IPT meetings operations (both Pharma and Bio) by organizing the meeting content, managing the agenda, publishing actions items, decisions log, minutes, supporting the IPT sub-teams deliverables according to the action steps and meeting requirements.
Prior to the meetings:
Collect last month's GSR and S&OP actions and decisions, consolidate exceptions and analytics into IPT template, lock assumptions/start version control, notify start of the monthly planning cycle, summarize planning related lessons learned, challenges, plan to address challenges etc. and update IPT template.
Update the meeting content with the refined initial supply plan along with the proposed tradeoffs and priorities if any.
Update the meeting content with the summary/highlights of outputs, risks (includes proposed supply plan and what-if scenarios).
Drive the ISP process execution in the following areas:
Brand & Network assumption collection for 1-5 years rolling.
Update Assumption repository
Update Issue Log
Update Risk Register and existing action items.
Coordinate GSR input and outputs flowing to Sales & Operations Planning forums at market, brand, clinical and executive levels.
Drive simplification, standardization and consistency of the process across Pharma and Biologics by ensuring the standardization of meeting agendas, templates and process flow.
Propose changes and fine tunings to the process design to improve process effectiveness in collaboration with the Process Excellence team.
Actively support the ISP COE to identify and deploy the right technology and tools enabling the execution of the process.
Partner with the ISP COE Leader, IT and BI&A to shape and advance integration between demand planning processes and analytics with ISP.
Support and facilitate the introduction of new business and process metrics and a new ISP dashboard in alignment with GSC-LT strategic objectives.
Ensure effective change management plans and materials are developed and deployed.
Identify program risks and escalate appropriately with mitigation recommendations.
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide stakeholder roadmap and develop game plan to engage and sustain meaningful relationships.
Assess the competency requirements and align on the talent management plan for developing the competencies required for successfully meeting the functional objectives.
Continually self-assess and self-develop skill levels and performance via performance review and leadership & functional development programs.
Professional experience and qualifications
Undergraduate degree in supply chain, life sciences and/or engineering required, MBA preferred Experience in implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global advanced planning and scheduling systems
Experience in working in a fast paced, reputed, global pharmaceutical/Bio-Technology or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure
Minimum 5 years managing supply planning operations for a reputed global BioPharma or Consumer Product company utilizing world class planning and execution processes and supported by ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (preferably SAP suites and Kinaxis RapidResponse software).
Strong Project Management capability skills.
Preferred: Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements
Preferred: Exposure and experience in Biotechnology manufacturing process, principles and practices
