SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for directing controlling and coordinating all aspects of Materials Management, Finite Scheduling, Warehouse and Logistics and SAP Master Data in a manufacturing plant. Functions to include: production scheduling; materials purchasing receiving warehousing and handling within manufacturing process; and SAP Master Data support. Manage raw materials ingredients and production supplies purchases to maintain 100 supply availability for scheduled production requirements. Manage inventory controls per Tyson Foods finance guidelines. Responsible for SOX Key Controls provisions Food Defense Plan SQF Program and Environmental Regulations associated with raw materials ingredients and production supplies in all storage and warehouse areas. Maintain a motivated team to minimize costs and maximize efficiencies while meeting corporate objectives. Manage warehouses and material product handling to minimize product damage. Maximize internal storage capacities in conjunction with public storage requirements. Manage proper housekeeping in all facilities. Manage safety so all goals are met or exceeded. Manage offsite warehousing and product movement between warehouses. Manage Lean projects to reduce costs and improve efficient operations. Manage SAP used as a business transformation tool to reduce costs through improvements in operations improvements in results reporting tools.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. in Logistics or Business Administration) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5 plus years related experience in Distribution, Warehousing, or Materials Handling.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Distribution Software.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in multiple departments or work units who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Display sound judgment and decision-making leadership and organizational skills. Flexibility to work off hours on occasion to provide guidance and training to a three shift 6-7 day operation.
Travel: 0-10%
