The Demand and Forecast Planner creates and maintains forecast models, continually refining systems and methods to improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs.
The Demand and Forecast Planning leader is the integration point across various teams and responsible for improving relationships among planners, sales, marketing and finance, which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to better guide the teams.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
Work with stakeholders and Digital team on improving the future ordering capabilities and consume the forecast
Develop and deploy strategic plan for reducing forecast error incorporating support from various cross functional stakeholders
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
Interact with sales, marketing, and product management to understand demand forecast drivers.
Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and product management to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool, working closely with central planning and digital teams
Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
Update forecasts for new products, seasonal products, discounts, promotions.
Coordinate with inventory team to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with significant operational or analysis experience in the technical, healthcare or business environment
Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain materials and/or inventory management
Minimum 3 years of experience working around a Planning System/Solution as a Super User/Implementer
Proven experience in an operations leadership or in statistical forecasting
Experience with leading cross functional teams to achieve business goals
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with employee and stakeholders at all levels
Exceptional skills as a change agent with process-oriented mindset
Experience in supply chain materials and/or inventory management
Ability to develop and execute priorities and approaches to meet objectives
Desired Characteristics
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
MBA
APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred
