Job Details:
To assist the Warehouse Supervisor by assuring receiving team members are productive and enforcing safe and proper loading/unloading procedures while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
Summary
Follows procedures and SOPs established in Receiving Manual. Ensuring productivity of receiving team members by making sure all trailers are in place and truck orders are given to Warehouse Attendant for allocation in order to prepare for the next loads. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the workstations. Assuring safe unloading procedures. Assuring safe and accurate unloading configurations. Assumes responsibility of warehouse operations upon Supervisor’s absence. Assures all equipment is in proper working order. Assists supervisor in the training of team members. Assists Supervisor in Product Recall situations. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for being able to perform a mock / real recall. Responsible for being able to use and troubleshoot all LPN / Bar Code handheld devices and PC based applications for product labeling per the established procedures. Must be able to operate and understand EIM System. Answers business telephone interacts with drivers, Tyson corporate officials and plant security on a daily basis. Verifies all order paperwork is accurate and performs Bill of Laden task for all orders. Be able to enter previous shifts production into the computer in Operation Supports absence. Be able to prepare BOL for all trucks completed on a given shift using the forklift operator’s pick list and paperwork in Operation Supports absence. Be able to ensure drivers sign the correct bill and are given copies of the BOL in Operation Supports absence. Have working knowledge of the Tyson SIM inventory, PPS (Production Planning System) and EIM as it relates to FIFO shipping of products from the facility. Be familiar with and be able to communicate with Tyson transportation and outside transportation on shipments into the facility. Assures temperature specifications are met on incoming ingredient loads. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Perform work in a safe manner. Abide by all company policies / procedures, written or verbal. Work as a team member toward task accomplishments. Perform any other tasks as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required for the Position
Requires flexibility of wrists and hands. Walking, bending, standing and lifting up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis required. Must be able to drive and operate a forklift. Communicate effectively, both written and orally, with production and QA on a regular basis. Be able to perform all jobs in receiving and inventory/warehouse. Must be able to accurately fill out all receiving related paperwork. Must be able to perform data entry into the computer based EIM system as well as the use and operation of the bar code system. Must be able to perform essential functions of job with or without reasonable accommodation.
