Where you fit in

As a Bulk Transport Scheduler, you will partner with the business stakeholders to build integrated, collaborative and competitive supply chains for Lubricants.

What’s the role?

As a Bulk Transport Scheduler, you are expected to perform all the Scheduler duties and responsibilities in one or multiple scopes as per the operational needs. You will be the primary contact point for the hauliers of necessary amendments to plan.

Your further accountabilities will include:


Engages effectively with diverse business partners & stakeholders to bring in commercial value to the business.
Works as one team along with the others, shares best practices and always drives towards process improvement and standardization.
Ensures customer requirements are met to the agreed service levels, monitors performance through effective Key Performance Indicators.
Communicates effectively with the stakeholders to achieve efficiencies in delivery patterns and or load size in order to obtain sustainable distribution cost savings.
Diagnoses and resolves significant, unusual cross business problems or conflicts making full use of supply chain resources and to successfully adapt aspects of scheduling.
Identifies and embeds best practices from other markets or countries to enhance the value of scheduling.
Generates substantial improvements to existing scheduling practices and procedures.
Champions end-to-end integration to ensure the value for the enterprise is maximized.
Manage deviation from plan, i.e., process in GSAP any post schedule amendments to the shift: Left on board, plant/depot change, load quantity changes, compartment changes, trip sequence change, vehicle change, orders scheduled not delivered.
Handle customer enquiries to change/amend orders, evaluate the real need and feasibility for scheduling changes.
Ensure all shipment schedules must be executed and reshipment as per situation.
Receive urgent order requests and create urgent orders within framework of delivery promise.
Communicates Left on Board to Customer Operations to Initiate surcharges for.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
Ensure documentation and filing is accurate, up to date, accessible and sent to Customer Operations.
Ensures all billings has been processed by ensuring all POD confirmations.
Monthly stock reconciliation at GSAP locations and posting for all raw materials at month end.
Management of intercompany stock movement


What we need from you?

We’re keen to hear from individuals with preferably minimum of 1 to 3 years of working experience in supply chain, logistics and a Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent. Alongside this, we’d hope to see the following on your CV:


Experience in Supply Chain or Logistics and or Customer Service.
Good Analytical, Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills.
Learn and adapt quickly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work efficiently in a team environment.
Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities.
Successfully handle challenging requirements and tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
Maintain flexibility and be responsive to changing business needs, priorities, and reporting requirements.
Good coaching and people management skills.
