Are you a supply chain or procurement professional seeking an exciting and rewarding opportunity at a national charity?
Reed is currently working with a national third sector organisation who are looking for a Contract Manager
to be based in their Paisley office.
The main purpose of the role is to create and implement a clear contract management strategy for all procurement categories, and to ensure the requirements of contractual obligations, procurement policy, and business unit objectives are met.
Ideally, we are seeking an organised and dynamic candidate, with previous experience in supply chain management or senior procurement roles.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
Developing and implementing contract management strategy, policy, and procedures.
Leading and monitoring contract management process, meeting key persons from business units and monitoring performance.
Working collaboratively with internal staff and prepare reports for management on agreed KPIs and SLAs.
Managing major company contracts in accordance with policy.
Ensuring all contract documentation is up-to-date and complaint with company policy.
Providing support and advice on new business opportunities, whilst also identifying new areas of improvement for existing business.
Investigating and addressing contract risks and preparing plans to mitigate these.
Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the business, as well as external suppliers.
Support the overall delivery of the procurement function.
Provide training and guidance to all business units to ensure suppliers are managed effectively and consistently.
Reduce non-compliance and mitigate risks across procurement function.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
5 years' experience in strategic contract management functions or senior procurement positions.
Excellent working knowledge of contract terms and end-to-end procurement process, from market research and supplier registration, through contract management and payment.
Ability to develop contract management strategy and policy.
CIPS Diploma or equivalent education (desirable but not essential).
Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers.
Advanced knowledge of wider supply chain market and mechanisms.
Possess strong analytical skills.
Sound knowledge of legal concepts surrounding supply of goods and services.
An understanding of supplier risks and experience in mitigating these.
An innovative and business orientated mindset.
The ability to use own initiative to identify areas of improvement, tackle problems, and propose solutions.
This fantastic opportunity comes with a salary of GBP50,000 annually, a flexible hybrid working model, and 36 days holiday.
