Job Description:
To lead the local Delivery Assurance Team in order to achieve operational excellence within day-to-day delivery execution of fuels & hydrogen products to retail stations across the German and Switzerland region in the most cost-effective manner.
Main responsibilities:
Ensure that daily road transport operations (delivering and administrating) meet all standards at the lowest possible cost to service level.
Motivate, coach, and develop the team. Support team members in developing their competencies.
Drive improvements in customer experience and customer satisfaction by training, sharing expertise, and coaching the team.
Drive improvements in dispatching & supportive scheduling area activities by training, sharing expertise, and coaching Delivery Assurance team.
Support multiple projects to continuously improve team, drivers, transport company performance, influence and improve customer behavior, and eliminate waste (e.g. minimize out-of-stock situations, canceled deliveries, site inaccessibility, incompliant order taking, and other rework costs) using benchmarks, KPI monitoring.
Ensure proper staffing through attraction, coaching, and development of people, covering aspects like Diversity and Inclusion, Competences, Performance Management, and Recognition & Reward, supported by the line manager.
Manage team-related tasks in HR system including new job requisitions in case of recruitment, end-year review, goal setting, working time approvals, creating shift schedules, onboarding of new joiners, and offboarding.
Support a safe environment and sustainable working conditions.
Dimensions:
Covers Germany and Switzerland markets with 6 transport companies.
Manages a team of 7-9 people working in 3 shifts (from Sunday 22:00 till Saturday 14:30) Team lead is expected to work during normal office hours.
Typically, creates an efficient link and feedback loop between various partners and stakeholders, i.e. drivers, customers, depots, supply, Delivery Scheduling Team, Delivery Fulfilment Team, and Road Transport Team.
Experience & Qualifications required:
People Management - Recruitment, Coaching, Development, Performance management.
Excellent stakeholders’ management skills.
A good understanding of Supply Chain Business would be an asset.
Ability to manage dynamic operations in a virtual environment and effectively engage groups of stakeholders.
Be resilient under pressure and balance own and team workload versus priorities agreed with stakeholders.
Capacity to rapidly learn new skills and methods /business/function.
Good change management and influencing skills.
Nice to have some project management skills and experience.
