If you are a student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Lebanon, MO location, you will support the development of materials management strategies aligned with the AC division goals. Your areas of focus may include packaging, logistics, inventory management, ERP systems management, and internal materials flow. You will be responsible for using our tools to track finished goods returnable during an order. You may assist with any returns from customers and ensure uninterrupted supply for production is available. You will also focuses on continuous improvement and assignment goals may be adjusted based on the interest of, and input from, the student coupled with current business priorities. 

 

AS A SUPPLY CHAIN CO-OP, YOU WILL: 

Work with engineers and analysts on inventory reduction/optimization projects

Assist and facilitate Kaizen events

Create value stream maps for materials process flow and Oracle Transition Team

Assist with safety related continuous improvement projects

Print, review, and distribute reports

Count purchased parts assigned to ledgers

Expedite/de-expedite parts as necessary

Verify finished goods production reporting

Coordinate project requests from Engineers

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Undergraduate student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher

Able to work 40 hours a week (Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:30pm) during the scheduled semester

Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Strong oral and written communication skills, analytical and decision making skills, and PC skills including Microsoft Office

Leadership in school or community organizations preferred

Manufacturing experience preferred

Strongly prefer a 3.0 GPA or higher

About our Location

Our plant in Lebanon, MO is Emerson’s flagship operation for scroll compressor assembly and a machining powerhouse for main bearing housings and scroll elements.  With over 60 million scroll compressors produced in the past 27 years.
